Cannot edit time remapping

Greetings.  I am trying to edit a lypsync piece, and am working on the mouth. Embedded here is a screenshot of the comp with layer "Mouth" and precomp which has the 10 different mouth positions (layers).  In the main comp, i am trying to change the first value to "1" as that is the first mouth position, but it continuously revert to "4".  The comp settings are the same frame rate.  Any ideas?  Working with Windows, software is up to date. afx question 1.jpgafx question 2.jpg

You should convert seconds to frames before you can easily use a lipsync rig. Lookup lipsync after effects tutorials plenty of them explain this. Also would recommend this 3rd party tool:SF-Caddy

A quick revision to the above:  the time remap figure reverts to "2" not "4" .  Thank you.

Thank you!  I changed the seconds to frames, and it worked.  Also, thank you for the great link!
