cant write text on multiple lines

whenever i try and use text i can only write it on 1 line, when i press enter to go down a line it just goes back to the beginnning and writes over the line i just wrote. its been happening since i first got ae and i cant find a solution anywhere. I attatched a video of me trying to type that shows my text settings. please help.

Your line spacing is set to 0px. (to the right side of font size)

Set it to Auto to make it scale along with font size or define a custom value.
