My CC subscription renewed 2 days ago and ever since then I can no longer run CC2018 apps on my older iMac. They launch in trial mode with a message that I do not have a subscription to 2018. Did Adobe shut off access to 2018 without warning? CC2018 is the latest verion I can run on my iMac.

Sorry to hear that. Unfortunately, After Effects 2018 is not available to download and we're not able to provide support: https://helpx.adobe.com/in/support/programs/cc-support-policy.html
I'd recommend upgrading your macOS and using the latest version.
Feel free to reach out if there are any other questions. Moving this thread from Bugs to Discussions.
Thanks,
Nishu

No support or downloads needed. Adobe just shouldn't shut off access to older versions that are already installed. Does it cost Adobe money to let me keep running CC2018 while I'm subscribed? Adobe has no idea why I choose which version I want or need to run. This is a major problem with the subscription model—I am no longer in control of my own animation studio.

Should I expect CC2019 to stop working when I renew next year?

perhaps. if you can coerce them to get you a download for CS6 (not yar-har version I should probably note) the registration and code still works for it. if you say you can't work with the new ones, but CS6 will run well on your computer (it should, works perfectly fine on windows 10), they might cave. be persistent. In my opinion, CS6 rotobrush is also the most stable one, too.
It really is a shame they are willing to throw entire studios under the bus just so they don't have to support their own software... I have a feeling they do this, because if people saw how fast and bug-free AE 2014 was, no one would update, and their shareholders would not approve.
