Creating MOGRT with multiple Compositions.

Before I do a bunch of work to find out something wasn't right, here's my situation- I created a lower thirds graphic in After Effects 2021 and in the process, made a bunch of different compositions. Now a lot of my elements are in different comps. What is the best way to create a MOGRT from these 8 compositions? I'm not sure if that's possible.

The comp you use as the Master for your Mogrt must contain all other comps. You just nest them. You'll have to be careful to make sure that the proper controls are used. If your main comp will render properly using the Media Encoder, then the Mogrt should work. If you have any doubts, check the master comp flow chart.

Ok I had heard that all the layers had to be in one composition which scared me off going through with building it until I was better informed. I'm going to give it a shot today. Thanks!

Here is a screen shot. My master Coimp has the backgrounds comp in it. Inside the background comp is the Titles and Atom Comp and so on. Would I need to bring all those comps to the master? If so, do you have any tips on easily accomplishing that?

Update- I created a new master comp with my other comps inside it. But when I hit "Solo Supported Properties" I can only grab the composition's transform properties. Will it work if I go into the comps and pull out the important parts as long as all the different comps are nested in my new master?

Spend some time reading this free e-book: https://premierepro.net/making-mogrts/

This tutorial explains how to add properties from nested (he calls them primary) comps to a master comp:

There are other tutorials out there that are good, but some are pretty lousy. If you just type MOGRT in the Search Help field in the top right corner of After Effects you'll get some other good resources. This is the top recommendation from the online documentation.

The Search Help field should probably be the first place you search when you are having problems with any feature in After Effects. It is even a pretty good place to search for help with bugs.

Thank you so much for your help. I've got the MOGRT functioning in After Effects now. Just spending time adjusting now. Much appreciated!
