cryptomatte not working after effects

Hello everyone

here is the issue working with sequences of multilayered EXRs, Render passes work fine, but cryptomatte would freeze after effects, I noticed though it only works for a single image, but it breaks in a sequence when I click on the prevew window to select a matte. Please help.

How was it generated? Which EXR/ Cryptomatte version does it use? This stuff can use extensive metadata and wonky ranges, so you may need to tweak your render settings more than anything else. Not saying that AE's EXR importers couldn't need an update, but for the time being I really think teh answer is your 3D renderer more than anything else.

Could you post your EXR files here or file a bug with Adobe? It should work with sequences, naturally.

Are you using AE 2020?
