Default Font / Missing Fonts - Fonts Panel

Hey So I cannot be the only person in the world the thinks the stupid UI panel which pops up when a font is missing and think - why the heck is there no option to choose which font you'd like to replace and with what. Nowhere can I seem to be able to find the info to change the default AE font as a workaround. So basically In a massive project which refers to a demo typeface (of which I now own) can I easily replace this.

Shortcoming indeed. So pleased sometimes I pay for this software. Which is always full of bugs. Don't even get me started on the overlooked use of arrow keys to preview typefaces in the active composition - quickly and easily. Wonder how long that will take to fix.
