Hi,
Out of the blue today on both my 2013 MacPro and 2017 MacBookPro I have the following error "Display Acceleration Disabled" on ALL my saved project... Why? How to fix it and how does it come that both my MAC suffer from the same problem???
(Running Catalina latest) on Ae 2020 17.0.2
"Hardware Accelerate Composition" was turned OFF prior to my problem and this "trick" was discussed with the support team over the phone. Their ONLY recommendation was to downgrade to 17.0.0 wich immediately fixed the problem (as explained earlier).

Called support and they advised me to downgrade to 17.0.0, which I did and I no longer have the "Display Acceleration Disabled" on both my Mac. So if you have the same problem you know what to do: Downgrade!

Hi there,
Thanks for reaching out. Please try the suggestion below:
Go to After Effects Preferences > Display > and uncheck "Hardware Accelerate Composition, Layer, and Footage Panels". Check if it helps.
Please share a download link for the system report .spx file. Here's how to get it: https://support.apple.com/en-in/HT203001
Also, are you working with the power adaptor plugged-in to your laptop?
Looking forward to your response.
Thanks,
Nishu
