I'm pretty new to AE and I'm having an issue with a dotted line running through a layer in my comp. I have a mask, wire removal, keylight, and time remap on the layer but I've clicked all those effects/transformations on and off and the dotted line remains. Does anyone know what this is? Thank you!Screenshot 2023-12-01 at 5.35.10 PM.png

That could be a lot of things. Anything from a corrupted file to the alpha channel between two layers or a Comp Panel rendering error caused by an odd magnification ratio and comp resolution setting.

The cropped screenshot doesn't tell us anything about your comp, layer structure, or settings. Figure out which layer or layers are causing the problem by turning off layers. When you find the problem layers, turn them back on, select them, press the U key twice to reveal all modified properties, make sure the comp is selected in the Project Panel so we can see the settings, then take a screenshot of the entire UI and drag it to the reply field so we can see what is going on in the comp.

Hey Rick,

Thank you for your help! The issue seems to be with the masks that I have for layer 31 and 32. When I altered the mask path for both layers, it made the lines disappear for a limited time. Now they're back and I'm unsure why. Here's a screenshot of layer 31 (layer 32 is identical).

Thanks again!
