Duplicating AE projects

Community Beginner ,
Sep 02, 2021 Sep 02, 2021

Hi Community,

I am trying to duplicate a AE project with multiple pre-comps inside a main composition.

I want to duplicate this project and be able to edit the new duplicated one without effecting the orignal.

Is this possible? Any help would be appricated.

Using the most recent version of AE

According to what I read, what you should do is simply use the menu option File / Save As / Save As... or Save a Copy... (in this case you will have to close the original and open that copy) that way you will have a project exactly the same but totally independent of the original, in this you can do what you need as the original will not be affected.

Or you can import whole project as you importing any another file.
