After a while After Effects was working fine on my new workstation I now get following message when I try to start AE. Does anybody know how I can solve this problem? By the way... I'm not a real expert with the PC 😉

<6164> <ASL.ResourceUtils.GetLanguageIDFromRegistry><0>Unable to obtain the User 'Language' registry key at: Software\Adobe\After Effects\10.5\ Defaulting to

'en_US'.

Thanks a lot!!!!

Hello,

You use this script if your version is CS5.

"C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe After Effects CS5\Support Files\AfterFX.exe" -L en_US

Hello,

The issue seems related to the language selection. What language of After Effects did you install initially? You open a command prompt (cmd.exe).

"C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe After Effects {version}\Support Files\AfterFX.exe" -L en_US

Thanks a lot for your quick answer, very, very kind!!!

.. Trying the "C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe After Effects {version}\Support Files\AfterFX.exe" -L en_US" I get now the message

<5620> <Dynamic Link> <5> C:\Programm Files (x86)\Common Files\ Adobe\ dynamic link\ CS5\ dynamiclinkmanager.exe

One problem seems, that I've got no After Effects Folder in "Program Files (x86)" whereas all the other programms of the adobe creative suite are in this folder...
