Extension UI Icons Are Not showing in AE 2024 (Especially SVGs)

Some UI icons for extensions are not showing properly in AE 2024. (Motion Tools Pro, Mobar 3 (installed via Adobe Creative Cloud), etc.)

After checking the files within the extensions folders, I discovered that PNG icons display correctly, but SVG images are not showing up in After Effects.

I did clean uninstall and tried on multiple versions. I found that all icons display correctly in the 2025 version.

However, my college computer have the 2024 version, and since I work both at home and school, I prefer to stick with 2024 without upgrading.

As far as I remember, this issue didn’t occur earlier this year. What might be causing this problem?

- Tried from 24.0 to 25.1. Wanna stay at 24.6.4.

- Windows 10 Pro

- Adobe license provided by the art college, so must be a genuine full plan.

- Tried installing extensions using the aescripts zxp uxp installer and pasting the folder to extensions folder.

- CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 7500F & GPU: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4060 Ti (All drivers updated to the latest versions last night)

It seems like there’s a compatibility issue with SVG icons in AE 2024. Since they work in AE 2025, try clearing your cache or using PNG icons as a temporary fix. If the issue persists, it might be a bug specific to AE 2024, so contacting Adobe support or waiting for an update could help.
