when i add s_shake or s_blurmocurves on my clip, it starts to crash. the error would either say "after effects can't continue: s_blurmocurves plug-in generated an unexpected expection." "after effects can't continue: s_shake plug-in generated an unexpected expection." or it would just say "gpu render failed falling back to cpu" i do not know what the problem is. my ae used to work perfectly with the sapphire effects before.

Without any info about your system and in particular your graphics hardware nobody can tell you anything. Since both Sapphire and AE use GPU acceleration there could be any number of issues at play here. Of course the obvious answers would have to be to start by updating your system's graphics driver if possible. Anything beyond that will require soem proper information.

You need to run the Sapphire configuration tool and tell it which GPU to use or to revert to software-only mode as well.

GPU options are accessible via the commandline tool or in one of the effect editors like e.g. the lens flare editor.
