Green Render Bar Disappears

When I attempt to RAM preview my AE comp, my time indicator loops repeatedly. This problem occurs when audio is attached to video or if I’m working in a 4K comp. I’m not sure what to do. I’ve tried resetting the program. I have also attempted to purge all of my caches. Restarting my computer doesn’t help either. I am using a MacBook Pro with 16GB's of RAM. I have 214GB's left on my local hard drive. Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks.

Maybe it's only RAM previewing a bit of the comp because the RAM is full? Maybe try previewing at a lower resolution such as half resolution, or a third or quarter, maybe it will preview more frames. You could also check in your preferences for RAM (preferences->Memory) to see how much RAM is reserved for other apps.
