HELP! AE won't open project after update

I have been working on a project for weeks.  After I last saved my project yesterday, I did the update of the AE app. This morning, I tried to open my project and it produced a 'crashed report' saying 'Missing File'. I don't understand. I looked into autosaved  and the project is not there. I also uninstalled the app and reinstalled it, it did not work.  I am furious!!!! How can Adobe kidnap projects like this??????? Please help me find a solution.  How can I get my project back???

missing file isn't a big issue and it happen in some cases, try to check this link to learn more how to fix this issue

Thank you for your answer. I tried this already. It doesn't work.  It shows ' can't be found file 404 '.

Reinstall CC 2019, and remember this:  you never, EVER update Adobe software in the middle of a big project. 

This has been truth since at least Version 3... maybe even before that.

You've just learned a hard lesson.
