Adobe After Effects CC - Mac
I've got a very long video segment which I've trimmed into various layers.

As you can see, trimmed content is VISIBLE, even when layer visibility is turned off AND even when I (in desperation) I keyframed trimmed content to 0% opacity.

I'm going crazy! I've been using AE for a year and never had this before...what am I missing? Is there a bug in the latest update?
Thanks so much for any help you can give
