How do I center the anchor point of a layer to the center of the comp?

I want to make a orbit-like animation where a bunch of shapes revolve around a center graphic. To do this I want to move them to the correct position, then move their anchor points to the center of the comp. I haven't found a way to do this 100% accurately. Thanks!

Use the pan behind tool and create some guides that mark the center.

For anyone who sees this, here's how:

1. Select layer

2. Hold CTRL and double-click the pan behind tool in the menu top left

3. Use the align tool far right to center the layer
