A client asked me to export a video I made for them in a RAW file format. I've never worked with these before, but I assumed it was as simple as selecting a preset in Media Encoder. Turns out it's not and the internet has virtually zero information on how to do this that I have been able to find. Can anyone tell me how to export a RAW file format in After Effects/Media Encoder?

I think you can not export again in any raw format but you can export in other formats than can store all the information like the OpenEXR format.

RAW is an image format. If the client wants an image then i would suggest rendering or taking a snapshot of the image to the converting it with a free converter website like CloudConvert.

That request makes zero sense "raw" literally means it's full range data directly from the camera sensor. And there is your answer - AE apaprently is not a camera. All you can export are certain high-gamut formats like DNG, Cinoon or if you have them, the RED and Arri CoDecs, but even then the actual dynamic range will already be limited by what AE can actually output after doing its internal processing. I strongly suggest you talk to your client again to figure out what they actually want.
