Hello all,
I’m a little stuck here. I’m trying to take my 1080x1080 (square) composition and resize it to 16:9 and 9:16 aspect ratios without having to manually go in and resize everything.
First,
I go to file>scripts>scale composition> adjust width to 1920px>scale Be Ball Players
After,
I go to composition settings>adjust height to 1080>Ok.
But, when I do this the composition seems to scale in and not fill the frame with the new aspect ratio. My layers and such are cut off...

Hello,
Use the Fit to Comp Width or Height command. This command will automatically scale the selected layer to fit the width or height of the composition, without changing the aspect ratio of the layer.
To use this command, follow these steps:
Select the layer that you want to resize in the Timeline panel.
Choose Layer > Transform > Fit to Comp Width or Height.
Repeat this for any other layers that you want to resize.
Use the Region of Interest tool. This tool will allow you to crop your composition to a specific region, and then resize the composition to fit that region.
To use this tool, follow these steps:
Select the Region of Interest tool from the Tools panel or press the W key.
Drag a marquee around the area of the composition that you want to keep.
Choose Composition > Crop Comp to Region of Interest.
Choose Composition > Composition Settings and adjust the width and height to the desired values.
Use an online image resizer tool. If you prefer to resize your composition outside of After Effects, you can use an online tool such as RedKetchup or Inch Calculator. These tools will allow you to upload your image, choose the desired aspect ratio, and download the resized image.
