How to animate a folding envelope?

I've been looking for a way how to create and animate an envelope, however there doesn't seem to be a tutorial on it. The main objective I want to achieve is having a letter fold and to be placed into an envelope, with the flap closing. I already found videos explain how to create paper folds and airplanes but could the same thing be applied to making an envelope?

The look I'm trying to go for is similar to this:

Sure, why not?  You'd just be folding the paper in a different way.

Finding a tutorial that would have PRECISELY what you seek would be a really lucky break.

the references you showed here uses a simple 3d layer setup. you will need an open envelope illustration or photo and just seperate it to 2 parts - the fold and the envelope. like this

now set the anchor point for the fold at it's base. set all layers to 3d and use the X rotation for the fold

add a 3d light to sell the effect

BOOM! who needs videohive anyway!
