Good morning Adobe Community!
I am fairly new to After Effects and trying to create a repeating oncentric circle rabbit hole effect from scratch.
I have been using Turbulent displace but I am struggling to create the disired effect which is simialr to this
Is there a better way to do this? And add the distortion to the plain concentric circles as my circles seem to pulse and the shape flexes and I want to keep the spacing more equal between the circles as they expand out.
Thanks in advance!
Matt
PS my attempt attached!

This is really cool thank you, is there a way to make each of the circles more unique each time or do I need to animate each one separately or can AfterEffects generate the variable stroke width and shape for me?

If you use an AE shape layer for your initial shape there are shape effects you can add.
There are located by clicking on the Add button when you reveal the layer's properties in your timeline.
Effects like wiggle path, or twist may achieve the effect you are looking for.
