How to split a solid so It only takes half of the screen.

I was wondering if there is any way to split a solid vertically so it just fills half of the screen.

I just make a comp sized solid and set the x value of the anchor point to either 0 or the same size as the width of the comp .This leaves you with a solid that covers half the comp perfectly.

If you want the solid to be half the comp width you can adjust the width in the solid settings menu.
