How Would I get This Displacement-Map Kind of effect?

So I'm making an animation and I want to edit in a way that this person edited this video. How would I get that distorted/creepy/displacement effect at every beat? (I think it's most clear at 0:34 and beyond) Do you know of any specific settings or combination of effects? This person uses Sony Vegas. They're using a plugin they ripped called "newbluefx" and they're using the "NewBlue ME Warp - Openfx" effect. I've tried finding a crack for a Mac-After Effects version but alas, nothing. This effect would really add a lot to my animation, so if you can help me out in anyway, it would be greatly appreciated!! Also if you have a link to a cracked version of the effect that would be cool too!

You can do this in AE using the displacement map effect. Try downloading the trial version to see if it can achieve what you want. Then if you are happy with the results you will know it’s worth subscribing 🙂

I could be mistaken but I believe this technique is referred to as data moshing or datamoshing.

Also, talking about your failed attempts to pirate software in here is not very bright.

And asking other to help you to pirate software is just...hmmm, I'm taking care not to lay into you too harshly.

Stealing software is illegal & lame & great way to get told  to "kick rocks".  You know that expression?

Yes, I'm aware of the shame in pirating heh- I will try to improve myself on that.. whoops. Sorry for asking about all that. Anyway I never thought of "data moshing" I've seen it used before in other videos, but perhaps I could manipulate it to my tastes. Thanks for the tips! And I will update when I've found my way or not!!

To be honest I'm not much interested in anything else you have to say.  You're a fool.
