I can't open After Effects 2024 in Rosetta (mac user)

When I went to "get info" I exspected to see a checkbock for "open in Rosetta" but it isn't there. I am on a MacBook Air 2020 M1.

Opening in Rosetta was an integral fix that allowed programs not yet compatible with Apple Silicon processors to emulate Intel machines. Current software and all 3rd party effects and scripts I am aware of have now been updated to run on Apple Silicon processors, so there is no need for the dual capability to run using rosetta. The capability was only a stop-gap measure designed to help users keep working.

I've added my own plugins to After Effects. When I open After Effects it says to open After Effects in Rosetta in order for my plugins to work. Does this mean that my plugins will no longer work?

I've updated After effects to version 24.0 Which is After Effects 2024 does this have anything to do with it.

I have several plugins installed on my After Effects 2024 that no longer work because of compatibility issues, I'm talking about dozens of them. Does that mean that they will no longer work on AE2024?

I've had to do the same, but it's annoying that we pay for a version of After Effects that we can't use just because Adobe don't release the option to run it in Rosetta.  The Maxton plugins are all on subscription now and that's really expensive, so I have no intention of upgrading them.

No.  I've had to revert to the previous version of AFX which supports Rosetta.  So I'm basically now paying for a product I can't use the latest version of.  Adobe really need to sort this out.

but how we can do with plugins we work with  you mean that adobe 2024  dosent work for us  we need to stay in 2023 or 2022 version if this have no  solution  to fix i will back to my old version 2022 best  version for me

That seems to be exactly the case.  We now have to upgrade ALL our plugins because Adobe won't support Rosetta.  That makes for a very expensive upgrade Adobe!

Yup same issue here - can't use my plugins (which I've spent thousands of pounds on) because they're too old to open in the Apple Silicon version of AE so I need to run AE through Rosetta. As that's not an option any more then I guess I have to go back to the pprevious version until it gets added back in. Goodbye 2024, it was a nice 10 secs of using you!

Rediculous that we are going into 2024 and there are still major issues, just let us enable rosetta!!!!!!!!!
