I put a video into the preview and it is to small

Hi

I just got after effects and I am wanting to put my video into the preview but when I do it is very small and when I make it bigger it goes all fast and when I make a new project and set it to the same pixels as my camera (1920 1080p 60 FPS) it is very fast as well

can you please help.

Hi. Not sure what is going on, however: select your video in the project panel and drag it to onto the 'make new composition' icon at the bottom of that panel. It should automatically create a new composition with the correct settings.

if you video file become to small so that's mean the composition resolution are different from your video so may the composition you have are 4K and you drop a full HD file, be sure to check your composition size (go to composition/composition settings)

now to get your video in a composition with the correct settings, you must follow Tower Guy​ suggestion
