Importing PNG Sequence Problem

Community Beginner ,
Dec 31, 2024 Dec 31, 2024

Hello everyone.
I have been using After Effects for many years and I have been having a problem for a while.
For my video projects, I export objects from 3D programs as 360 degree sequential PNG. and I import them comfortably as sequential PNG in my AE projects.
But for some reason for a while now, although all the operations are the same, I cannot import the sequential PNG files I created into AE.
I get error as in the images I attached.

Has anyone experienced this problem? Is this a general problem?

Thank you.

Yes, unfortunately, the plugin called “Influx” was causing problems.
I disabled Influx import in the format section in the interface settings of this plugin. and the problem was solved. Now I can import sequential PNG files.

However, I never guessed that this plugin would create such a problem. and I solved this error with a small detail.

It's really interesting...

Hi cagdask3476139,

Sorry to hear about this. Is this happening only while importing them as a sequence? Are you able to import any of those png files individually?

Thanks,

Sumeet

Hi Sumeet.

There are 451 PNG files in total.
Yes, I can import them one by one.
I also changed the file format to PSD and TIFF, but I keep getting the same error.

I imported the files one by one and sorted them manually. At least for now, I will continue this way until I solve the problem.

However, something caught my attention.
There are plugins that I purchased from aescripts.com. One of them is the “Influx” plugin. For some reason, the name of this plugin is written in the type section of the files. I don't understand this, could this plugin be causing a problem?

You can see this from the last screenshot I added.

Thank you.

Thanks for sharing the solution.  Hopefully Influx will resolve this, but in the meantime, anyone else searching will find your fix.
