I'm currently rendering a sequence of images out of 3DS max, and because it's a time-lapse rather than rendering the full 1,800 frames, I'm choosing to render every nth frame. The result will be that the file names look as such:
Frame 01.tif
Frame 03.tif
Frame 05.tif
And so on...
So I am anticipating that AE will throw up a missing frames error. Is there a way to override/ignore this or something?
Help is much appreciated as retiming all of the thousands of keyframes in 3ds max is a bit of a non-starter.
In the file import dialog, when you select 'tif sequence' you should also find an option for 'Force alphabetical order'. Enable that and you should be OK. Your sequence should import in order and as you expect - importing all the frames you have, but not adding frames for the numbers you're not using.
