Lag stopping preview

Hi, when I stop the preview, I get a small freeze/lag before I can do anything on after effect.

That's so annoying. Anyone had the same problem? Solution?

Here my tech specs

Mac book pro (15-inch, 2018)

Processor:

2,6 GHz Intel Core i7

Memory:

32 GB 2400 MHz DDR4

Graphic:

Radeon Pro 560X 4096 MB

Intel UHD Graphics 630 1536 MB

Which version of After Effects are you working with? FAQ: How to find the exact version of After Effects you're using?

Could you provide more details about what's going on exactly? I don't quite understand the problem here. You mentioned that you experience a lag before doing anything else, which is a generic statement. Could you provide some examples on what you try to do after stopping the preview?

If it's possible for you to share a short video recording of the issue, that would be helpful.

I haven't seen others reporting this problem but let's work on this together.

I am also experiencing the same issue and it's really annoying.
I have MacBook Pro 2015 Core i7 4980HQ, 16GB RAM, Radeon M370X 2GB VRAM.
It freezes for around 1 second as soon as I stop preview, I still have CC2018 installed and it doesn't have this issue.
My current version is 16.0.1 but this has been present since 16.0.0.

Do you have Animation Composer installed in After Effects?
