Hi!

My dear Macbook Pro goes through a lot of pain (the fans feel like it's going to explode, painfully slow) anytime i open After Effects. Not to mention whenever I have to use the type tool. It's truly a horrible experience. Anyone has figure out a way to fix this? Is anyone that wants to use this app "forced" to get a Mac Studio? I wonder. Thank you!

Update! I downgraded to the 2023 version and, even though I can still hear the fans and it's a bit slow, I can now actually work.

What are your system specs? I'm running an M2 Max with no issues at all.

Congrats on that M2 max! I can imagine it works well. My 2021 Macbook is definitely happier with a previous version of After Effects for now. My processor is a 2.3 GHz 8-Core Intel Core i9. I don't wish what I experienced this am to anybody.

The specific question is, how much RAM do you have? The answer to this question could define the why of everything.
