Lockdown 2 After Effects Error (3 :: 0)

I keep having this bug whenever I open After Effects. It always says this for an example:

So basically it keeps giving me this error, and I contacted support on AEScripts and asked Chris Vranos what is this error for. He first says the following:

"Has this installation of Lockdown ever worked on the computer you're
currently working on? Or has any previous version of Lockdown worked on
your current PC? I would try to delete the file from the plugins folder,
then restart Ae and make sure everything is working in Ae. Then close Ae,
restart your PC, and run the latest aescripts manager app to install
Lockdown. It's true that Lockdown is just a .aex file, and a manual install
should work fine, but I've seen some weird cases where properties don't get
copied, permissions get changed, a file gets partially unzipped, etc... It
tends to happen in folders that require admin permission, which the Ae
plugins folder does. The source of those issues is way over my head, but I
know that the aescripts manager app takes care of everything because it has
admin access. (By the way, I'm assuming your last install was a manual
install and not done via the manager app because the manager app always
creates an author folder, then puts the plugin in it. Your screenshot shows
no author folder. Let me know if I was wrong there.)

You can always try to delete your Ae preferences, but of course that is
inconvenient if you've set up Ae how you like it. If you're desperate, you
could attempt to re-install Ae. I don't think either of those steps are
necessary. I just remember a few cases over the last decade where those
steps did solve the problem with certain plugin or scripts, however I have
no actual reason to believe it would affect Lockdown, so this is just a
last resort.

Sorry you're having issues, if those first steps don't work, I'll probably
ask you to send a Lockdown log file.

Cheers
Chris

I told them that I manually installed a plugin for After Effects instead of using an app. Now, After Effects is showing an error about the missing Metadata Browser. I also tried deleting and re-adding a file called Lockdown but am still getting the same error. I was then seeking advice on what to do next and will update if he found a solution.

Then he says:

So then I informed him that I already re-installed After Effects and that didn't work unfortunately. Then after that I tried today to see if the reset of the preferences would work and that didn't work either. So I guess my best bet was to post here to try to find a solution to the problem. I hope I can get some updates for this since I have bought Lockdown 2 a while back and now it's not working at all. I could've given him the Lockdown 2 logs but he didn't ask for that yet, so he was thinking it was a problem of After Effects. Not Lockdown 2.

Please inform me of what I can do in order to solve this issue, thanks!

Well just recently I have finally fixed it myself. That's by re-installing the plugin and then somehow it magically worked, I guess I have downloaded the plugin but it might've been corrupted or something since it wasn't working right. Again thanks for the help!

It seems to me you did not actually check any of the permissions/ user privileges, so inevitably a reinstall won't fix anything. That aside you haven't provided any actual system info, so we realyl can't tell you more than the generic advice you already got from the developer.

Did you try and use the AE Scripts + AE Plugins App? If you have the latest version of AE and used the installer, it might fix your problem. I'm having no Lockdown problems. Used it today on a project OSX 13.4.1 AE 23.5 M2 MacBook Pro. It worked like a charm.
