Loop option in Preview does not work

I have looping turned off. Why does the playback keep looping?

It's not exactly don't loop, it's play the composition one time. So if you start with the playhead in the middle of the work area, AE will play to the end of the comp and then continue to play until the playhead returns back to the starting frame of the preview. If you have the playhead at the start of the work area, it'll act more like "don't loop".
