When in Draft 3d mode, if you change to 100% resolution, After Effects forces me to shut down the application by saving a copy. If I try to open that saved version, it immediately forces me to shut down again with the same prompt. The project is now inaccessible!
Adobe-- kind of a big deal. Can you fix tonight...?

What are the exact steps that cause the crash?

Steps are as follows-- and it is repeatable:
1. Enter Draft 3d Mode
2. Change resolution to 1/4 or 1/3.
3. Try to change resolution to Full or 1/2-- that's when it will force exit AE.
As described, if you save with the prompt it provides, the project will not be accessible if trying to load it, as it will be stuck in the same loop to save and exit upon opening.
Have also had the problem happen when it 100% resolution in non-draft mode, and trying to simply change to Draft 3D.

And you're able to repeat this in any project?

What about your GPU Driver?!
You may need to update the driver.

The driver is current (Quadro P2000), at least as current as the manufacturer provides.

Thankfully, I keep multiple copies and backups-- so used one of those. But it could be a serious production problem for someone who had not done that.
