Community Highlight

May was action-packed for After Effects. A number of bug fixes and amazing new features.

There was a lot of excitement about the new Properties panel and people are loving it. It provides a more streamlined and efficient workflow by consolidating key properties and controls into a single panel, making it easier to manipulate and adjust layer properties.

Startup & Repair Options were added in After Effects to make it easier to identify issues related to launch and performance without trashing the preferences or removing third-party plug-ins.

Top troubleshooting topics from April 2023

Issue: Some of the users saw this issue where they get an "Unable to Obtain Dynamic Link Server Connection" error when they try to track 3D Camera or Stabilize the footage.

Status: A bug has been filed and the issue is under investigation.

Issue: Many users searched for an issue about After Effects often failing to hide when the shortcut Cmd + H is used on macOS 13.1 and higher.

Status: Team is aware of this issue. This happened due to an underlying MacOS change but it's not clear what changed. Engineers are working on this with Apple.
