Missing project

I have been editing a project in After Effects for the past couple of days. Yesterday I started a new project, separate from the other, and just now I go back to work on the other project and it is completely gone. I even went into my saves and every save

I spent like 5 hours on the project and really wanna cry it just disappeared out of thin air. Please help.

Can you finish your sentence -and every save what?  Can you see auto-saved files?  Can you see the project file at all?  Is there anything in the project file at all?

Please provide much more info.

Do you have any sort of backup for your machine? What about going to File>Open Recent Projects in After Effects, is your previous project there?

Does it show when you search your entire machine for AEPs? Sort by date.

try to recover you hard drive using some recovery application, and if you'r lucky you will be able to recover this file if it's deleted.
