Why won't my file export with sound? It plays in the preview rendering inside after effects, but when i take it to Media Encoder the sound doesnt render.

Did you fiddle with the presets in the Adobe Media encoder? What does your comp look like? The combination of things that you can do to your comp is almost unlimited, and so are the user errors you might make. Without workflow details and/or an embedded screenshot of the comp with the modified properties of the problem layer revealed (select and press 'uu') it is going to be difficult to find problems in your comp. Without render settings details and a screenshot showing those, it's also going to be difficult.

My first guess is that you simply did not use one of the H.264 YouTube or Vimeo presets that matches your frame size.

The first question, if you export directly from AE did you get a sound? and did you double-check if presets you use on AME have the export Audio activated

Impossible to know anything. You have not offered any info about the contents of the project, preview settings, render settings and so on. The others have offered soem basic guidance, but anything beyond that will require exact info. You may also want to read the online help on some of that stuff instead of blindly diving in...

These are my settings. It looks like the audio isn't being carried over into media encoder.

I know. I don't understand why. The audio is not on mute. It plays in the perview in AE. Do I need to merge the layers before transferring to media encoder? What is currently happening is the graphics and the auido are being exported seperatly, but they are apart of the same composition.

Well, as per your screenshots it says there is no audio. Any chance you have accidentally muted the layer or something like that?

Is your audio toggled as a Guide Layer? There will be an icon to the left of the layer name with two sets cyan lines making a tic tac toe-like grid: https://www.premiumbeat.com/blog/10-time-saving-tips-in-after-effects/#:~:text=To%20make%20any%20lay....

Guide layers don't export by default, but they will play back in the composition they're placed in.

Is this what's happening?

For starters, it's always best to work with WAV files in MP3 for performance and to avoid weird issues.

That aside, in your Output Module in the Render Queue before you queue to AME, click on the format and check the bottom of the dialog box. What's your audio setting, "Off" or "Auto," or "On"? If it's "Auto" try toggling directly to "On" and then queue to AME.

As a troubleshooting method, I would try either using a new piece of audio or converting your existing audio to WAV and trying that instead.
