So, I purchased this Desktop PC specifically for video editing. When I use Premiere pro, it lags sometimes when I have say a big trasitioning effect but it's usually perfectly fine. Now, when I try to use After Effects, it's such a bad experience everytime. It's litterally hell to use!
All I have been trying to do is use a project with Audio spectrum and I cannot edit because the playback is so slow. I changed the playback resolution, frame rate, skips, and everything I could think of for audio and video yet it still manages to be really really slow to the point of me not being able to see the video and I won't even mention how the audio is.. (Usually it's super slow and I can't even tell which song it is).
I just hope that there's a solution to this. I will list as many of my PC specs below and please let me know if you would like to know of any other information.
Desktop PC HP OMEN with Windows 10 OS
x64-bit, Intel i7-9700 CPU @ 3GHz, 3000 Mhz, 8Cores, 8 Logical Processors, 16GB RAM
Please let me know if I can do something to fix this. As of now, I can't really use AE because I can't see or hear what I'm editing.

I have an HP Omen, and currently having nightmare level problems with Adobe CC, Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere crashing on startup. Going thru weeks of Adobe Support, waiting for their call (sometimes saying they'll call, and they never call) Finally got them to work on it virtually (taking over my computer) and I'm sitting there for hours only to come up with no solution.
I reinstalled my Windows 10 and the problem still persists. Even installed Win 10 on separate hard drive from my friend, yet on this computer, and it still crashes.
It must have something to do with the computer. Maybe the Graphics Card? Also getting vertical lines and artifacts on my monitors, but it's consistant on all 3 monitors, so it's not the individual monitor.
Did you ever resolve this? And how?

Did you ever found a solution. I see most Adobe apps show a soft lagg when doing something. Its like the app has soft lattency of lagg when i do something. Never found a solution. Tried both game- and studio drivers of Nvidia but they make no difference

I did...it was annoying, but it ended up being the processor. I sent it back to HP to fix and they replaced the processor. It's been mostly stable ever since, although every once and a while my computer does a weird burp lag...kind of sounds like what you're talking about. I'm watching a video and it sloooooows down for a bit, and then it's fine. Like the voices all slow down and digitize. I tried adding more 2 more sticks of RAM. I forgot what happens, but I ended up putting one extra instead of both. It seems to work better with just 1 extra. I honestly don't know if it helped or not.

Well my lag is really short, its perhaps half a second. I tried some Photoshop yesterday again on it and felt like it was almost gone. Perhaps it was a windows issue. Need to check it again in illustrator. For me, i don't think it's the processor. It only happens with adobe apps
