Need help exporting a large project?

Hello!

I've worked with AAE before, but this is the first time I'm trying to export something extremely large. It's a 53 minute project- my computer has space for it, but I would like it to be smaller so I can upload to youtube. I tried to download it as a quicktime file but kept getting the error 'missing codec' and it would play with no video, only audio. I've deleted this file (it was too large anyways, I assume quicktime would lessen the file size.)

A bit of a complicated question! I just need help getting this file to be small enough to fit the 128GB rule that YouTube has... I think before I deleted it it was at about 203GB so... a bit over. I also remember having an issue in the past with the file type and it not being supported by YouTube (like the .avi file or something?)

So in a nutshell: way to export project that will allow it to be exported to youtube. File type and how to make it smaller!

Unless there are specific reasons not to, you should render though Media Encoder and use the built-in H.264 YouTube presets.
