-noui argument not recognized by extendscript/bridgetalk

Hi,

I'm building a project where I'm talking to afterfx using bridgetalk. For commercial reasons, I would want afterfx to run without it's user interface using the -noui argument. However, when I'm launching it that way, the hidden afterfx is not seen by the bridgetalk.isrunning("aftereffects") function.

Is there something I'm doing wrong, or this is simply a limitation of the -noui mode ?

I also seen there is a -headlessonly argument but it seems to work the regular way.

Thanks.

What???

Not the way the software was designed. Are you trying to create some kind of background renderer.
