Obligation to separate dimensions for position

Hello,
I have had a problem for a while.
I always have to separate the dimensions from the position to be able to date with the curves.
After effect no longer presents me with a single curve. here is a screenshot.
Do you know if there is any tuning that needs to be done to make it come back as before?

It is always nearly impossible to use the graph editor to animate value properties. You're better off editing the speed property. Here's a tutorial I did showing how to edit both position and speed efficiently using the pen tool, the alt/option, and ctrl/cmnd key, and the graph editor. It is a very rare occasion for me to need to separate dimensions, but even if I do, I always use the speed graph to modify the acceleration (easing) of the motion path.
