Hi there,
I´m trying to find out how to create an orbiting grid of satellites around the earth in space (see the following link):
How OneWeb's Connectivity Works - YouTube
Is it possible to do this with Trapcode Form or Trapcode Particular? If yes, how can I do this? I tried to play around a bit with Form but couldn´t figure out how to "wrap" the mesh around the earth.
Can anyone help????? I couldn´t find any existing video tutorials towards this topic...
Thank you in advance!
D.

For a planet with a single shell of "moving dots" I would use the free Orb plugin: https://www.videocopilot.net/orb/ - which can make the planet itself, and the satellites can be done by setting a composition that has a simple grid of moving dots as the opacity texture. Getting dots to move along lines can be done in many ways, the simplest is to draw lines in a shape layer, then play with the stroke Dashes > Offset value.

Hi Dave,
thank you for your answer. I still don´t understand how to make the grid orbiting around the earth so that the earth is inbetween the grid... Do I have to make it with Orb too?

Yes, you use orb to make the "shell" of dots.
