Path to null parenting issue

New Here ,
Dec 12, 2024 Dec 12, 2024

Hi! I applied "Create Nulls From Paths" — "Points Follow Nulls" on my shape path

I want the left and right stars to scale separately. So I created new null objects in the center of the right and left stars, respectively (it is important to mention that the shape is a single path, and it is important for me to make it so that the left and right parts move independently of each other). The problem is that when I scale the left star, its shape is correct. But when I scale the right star, the shape is very deformed.

How to make both stars scale without deformation?refShapes.gifexpand image

Looks like you parented the two nulls in the middle, at the transition between the left and the right shape, to the parent null of the right shape. If you like the behavior on the left side, but not on the right side, maybe don't parent those two nulls to anything?
