Hi there,

That sounds interesting. Do you have any reference video for the kind of transition you want? It seems like the transition will be a multilayer compositing.

For starters, check out this link for creating a Stinger transition: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QPBzp9hkYVg

I'll try to create something like you suggested at my end.

Let me know if this video helps.

Thanks,

Shivangi

For the pixellation, you'll probably want to look at the Mosaic effect. Depending on how your project is built, it may be easiest to use this on an adjustment layer, most likely at the top of your composition. Using animated masks, you should be able to achieve this "pixellated wipe" with relatively few steps. You can feather the mask to soften the transition, or could explore using other transition effects: Card Wipe, CC Grid Wipe, or Gradient Wipe come to mind.

From your description, you may need to also create other wipes or reveals for some of the elements underneath, and align the timing with the pixel wipe.

Let us know if you need additional direction on this!

Here's another vote for the Mosaic effect.  I'd animate masks on solids in a precomp for the wipes, then use it in the main comp with Mosaic applied to it.
