I've been working on a project where I need to animate multiple iterartions of the same PNG drawing and it would be so easy if it were possible to simply add a repeater to the PNG like one can to shape layers. I don't really understand why this possibility does not exist, why PNG layers can't have the same "Add:" buttons like shape or text layers.
Every work-around I've found looks very complicated, the simplest way would just be to have a repeater for PNG layers.

Completely different structures. Shape layers repeat the actual vector geometry and then rasterize it. Only effects can repeat pixel images and that's what Motion Tile, CC Kaleida and soem other effects are for. It might be helpful if you actually explained what you are trying to do.

I was trying to do this, ended up doing it with 27 separate shape layers, each animated separately. Obviously there has to be a simpler way to do this, but repeater ain't it.
I am creating animations like this regularly, and I would love to be able to make these with 100+ PNGs as well, without having to animate 100 layers individually.
