Precompose shortcut not working

Community Beginner ,
Sep 01, 2017 Sep 01, 2017

Just as the title states, my Ctrl+Shift+C shortcut is not working, not sure when exactly it started, but after some googling around I found that it might have something to do with Illustrator, though after uninstalling it nothing changed.

Any help is appreciated, thanks !

Ok, not sure exactly what fixed it, but after deleting some old Illustrator files (which I believe caused the issue in the first place), it's working again !

Thanks anyway.

Try resetting After effects Preferences:

press ctrl + alt + shift while running after effects.

you will get a message to delete after effects settings file click ok.

let us know if that helps.

Enter into After Effects Preferences > General. Check that you have activated "Use System Shortcut Keys".

Looked it up, apparently it's only for the Mac version.
