Problems with Wiggle effect transition

Explorer ,

Hi,

How can I make a smooth transition of the Wiggle Position effect? Currently if I start with one value of Wiggles/sec and want to transition it to another, the effect goes a bit odd and starts moving the object erratically between the values.

I need to basically start Wiggle at an object at 0.5 Wiggles/sec and then have it transition at a point straight to 2 Wiggles/sec. But no matter what I do, the transition isn't smooth. If I try to hold the keyframe, it still makes the object jump briefly but noticeably before switching to 2 Wiggles/sec.

Thanks,

Everything you need to know:

Even if it's unrelated to actual expressions, the underlying problem is the same - the effect does not retain a "memory" of the previous values.

This should hopefully further explain my issue. The icon that moves from bottom to top needs to wiggle at a minor 0.5 wiggles/sec rate, and then when it reaches its position on top it needs to transition to 2 wiggles/sec. But between 0.5 wiggles/sec and 2 wiggles/sec transition, it briefly goes to a much higher rate - and hence it looks bad. Why can't the Wiggle do this transition smoothly? What am I doing wrong?
