"Can not create a file directory"

New Here ,
Mar 07, 2019 Mar 07, 2019

We are suddenly getting a lot of "Can not create a file directory" that prevents us from rendering.  We tried render locally too but it still does not work.  Does anyone know what could be causing this problem?  We tried different file directory also.

e.g. Can not create a file in directory \\prod3\Prod3\test\2_production\3_comps\LOCAL. Try checking write permissions.

Thanks.

Hi,

Sorry for the issue. It seems like an issue with the permissions while generating previews during rendering.

Have a look at this article: Fixing permissions problem (slow startup)

You can always test the issue on a new user account.

Mac: macOS Sierra: Set up users, guests, and groups on your Mac

Windows: https://support.microsoft.com/en-in/help/4026923/windows-10-create-a-local-user-or-administrator-acc...

Let us know if that brings any change.

Thanks,

Shivangi

Thanks for your reply.  Is there a way to disable the generation of previews during batch rendering which was what we are trying to do here.

Thanks.
