Hello!
I am still very much an AftereEffects newbie, and I'm trying to figure out the best way to go about removing objects from a video. In this case, I have a video of money falling that I am using for an advertisement. I will have the text come into the composition, and around that time, I'd like to remove some of the bills from the screen to make the text easier to read. I've found a few tutorials, but not sure which would be best for my case. If someone could make a recommendation or point me in the direction of a useful tutorial, I would appreciate it!

You remove the bills by rotoscoping and putting a new background below the hole. The problem comes when one bill passes in front of another. You have to either remove both of them or do a very careful roto of the bill that passes behind the other so you don't see the matte.
Study up on animating masks. That's probably where I would start. There is not enough difference between the bills and the background for AE's automated Rotobrush tool to work well if one bill passes in front of another, but
