Reshape effect in After Effects

I'm making a morphing animation from this pink blob to this pink letter G. The yellow G on the background is a reference for what I want the final pink shape to be.

I'm using masks and Reshape effect. Everything is going fine except the edges of the pink blob transforming into a G is cut in the shape of a square for some reason. I tried to go the first mask (in the shape of the pink blob) > Mask Path > Shape and make the rectangle bigger but that messed up the whole morphing effect.

What do I need to do to get the whole final pink G visible?

Hope this helps.

Thanks for the reply!

The first method didn't work for me but the second option of increasing the empty space around the anim_g1.png file and starting over did solve the problem.
