Resize Object Over Time

Hi there,

I'd like to animate the white background field in the image by blending in a thin white line (with opacity and gradient as in the image), and resize it in a short transformation to the white field (with opacity and gradient) that can be seen here:

Please, how can I do that?

Hi Stefan

Like most things in AE, there are multiple ways to animate something. If I understand you correctly, you want a white line to come in and scale up to current size?

This can be done by animating the vertical scale of the white element. You'll have to unlink the two scaling values to animate the vertical independently. Not sure how you want the white line to come on the screen but a slide in from the side would be cool or a horizontal scaling from nothing would be cool as well.

You could also use a mask on the text to reveal it as the white line expands. Hope this helps. Let me know if you have any other ideas or questions,.
