I added the Roughen Edges effect to text. It looks good, but when I play it back, the edges are animated. The kind of glitter. I did not animate any of the parameters. How can I get rid of that?
If the edges are moving then something is animated or your text layer is moving. Select the layer, press uu to reveal all modified properties and look for keyframes or expressions.
If you animated the text and you don't want the rough edges to move, delete the animation of the text layer, apply Roughen Edges, then pre-compose the text layer and animate the position of the pre-comp.

Check the Evolution/ Cycles parameter at the end of the effects properties.

Strangely enough, nothing is animated, neither the text nor the effect. Weird.

I forgot to mention that the text is following the camera movement (tracker). Could this be it?

Problem solved. I did the pre-compose operation as suggested and it worked. The text was animated because it was following the camera movement.
Thanks!
