Hi Community,

i got a problem with a Picture which i have to loop. but as a 9s rendered file. Its a picture of a road which move from left to right, to animate that the car is moving. But if i press play and wait till the 9s is over and everything repeats, the background is jumping so you can see that is lopped. I want that the loop is seamless but as rendered file. don´t know how to do this. i also tried to duplicate the road and flip horizontal, and matched it to the right side of the other, but this also doesnt worked.

i hope you understand my problem because my english is not good

1. Put your playhead roughly in the middle of the clip - Ctrl/Cmd Shift D to split the clip.

2. Shift drag the top layer to to the left so the point at which it was split snaps to the beginning of the comp.

3. Drag the bottom layer to the right so there is a little overlap ( 1 second) with the top layer.

4. Keyframe the opacity of the top layer from 100% to 0% where it overlaps the bottom layer.

5. Snap the playhead to the end of the bottom layer. Hit the N key to set the end of the work area.

6. Place your cursor over the work area bar and right click. In the menu select 'trim comp to work area'

You now have a looping piece of footage you can render out and re-import.

Thanks a lot Mike!

It helped me to get this done. Now it´s nearly seamless. You see a little bit of a shine in the opacity transition but i can live with that =D

If you've got a little increased brightness on the overlap, try setting the top layer to 'darken' blending mode.
